That Red Bull really worked! Or maybe it was just the Vans... Actually it I owe it to the Chicago-speed-walk genes I got from my father. Whatever the reason, I successfully got to my gate! Guess I didn't even have to sprint because our plane was delayed and we ended up boarding about half an hour late.
Going down the aisles of the (massive) plane in search of my seat, I found someone already sitting where I was assigned. Turns out he was just a row off so I told him no worries, I'd just switch him. That put me in row 30, right next to a... Wait for it... British boy! And what was this first British boys name?? Sorry Jake Wood, not Gavin, but Alex! He was very friendly and resembled Bryce McDonald A LOT. He was basically a brother already because yes his name was Alex, but also because he had Batman socks on (sept not as cool as yours Jakeee- no cape ;) ) Turns out his dad lives in Seattle now and Alex goes to visit him every year. His dad is with him now to bring him to his first year of college in Lancaster. He tells me I made a good choice with Canterbury though, he says it is very pretty. Can't wait to see it for myself (:
About 4 hours in to the 9 hour flight. So far so good! Lucked out with sitting next to nice people but then lucked out because one of the movie options were... Need For Speed!! For those of you reading who don't know, I have a bit of an obsession with Aaron Paul. He's just my favorite. But to justify myself so I don't sound dreadfully boy crazy, I really do like Need For Speed. Good plot line. Even if you're not into cars at all you could definitely enjoy it.
So anyway, ranting cuz I don't have anything else to do on this long flight... Guess I could try to sleep which actually is probably a very good idea considering when I get there I will be running of pure adrenaline.
Well, when it wake up, my recent dreams will have became a reality... I'll be in England! Okay maybe after a couple wake-ups... Little bumpy ride. (Need you driving Jakeee ;) ) Nah, the pilots doing a great job.
Alright cherrio for now! (Doesn't sound as cool as "ciao for now...")
Keep calm and keep watching Elyse get to England!
Peace,
E
