After orientation, we went to buy our train tickets for tomorrow to our schools. After all the work was done, we got to play!
We got to see the "City of London" which is the first area in London that the Romans conquered in England. (Flashbacks of Rome!) Here we also saw the exact place where Henry VIII executed many people including 3 of his wives and Anne Bolyn. After this we got to go to the Tower of London! This is an awesome site for girls and boys. You have the Crowned Jewels for the girls and Henry VIII's weaponry for the boys. It was a cool time to go because they had thousands of ceramic poppies put out around the tower to commemorate the war. I also got to take my picture with one of the Beefeaters! (Gonna caption it "Beefeater on the rocks" baha) He was especially cool cuz he had my initials on his uniform ;P
After an amazing Italian dinner that made me have flashbacks to Italy again, we got to go on the London Eye!! It was really cool to see London all lit up with the city lights. Great last night of orientation!
Also included today is a picture of Alex our ISA guide and fearless leader. It started raining at the Tower so he was demonstrating how awesome cardigans NOT SWEATERS are. They protect your hair from rain.
And from Alex, quote of the day:
"Every time I drink Dr. Pepper it reminds me of America. I take a sip of it and it's like mmmm America."
Tomorrow we leave for Canterbury!! Stay tuned for the tales ;)
Cheers!
